Here it is out of the package--rose, chocolate brown and bottle green velvet ribbon, grosgrain rickrack in cream and chocolate, and a green mini pompom trim
An assortment of buttons, some new and some vintage
Thrift shop fabric. If I did the fiber test properly the gingham is 100% cotton, something I've been searching for. Originally I thought the red and black were saris, but I think they are just lengths of gorgeous fabric. They appear to be heavy silk, with gold thread embroidery--which has a metallic odor, so maybe it's real gold thread? They were a splurge--our thrift shop has a complicated system of different colored price tags, on any given day some are full price, some 25% off, some 50%. I thought the silk fabric was 6.99 and 25% off, but it was full price, and 9.99 for each piece. Still a great bargain, but more than I intended to spend. Now to figure out what to do with it--I don't want to cut it, so it's probably just going to be something I gloat over.
