New summer pajamas. I bought two packages of tshirts from Target, there were three in each pack, and shorts from Dharma Trading Company. I had dye leftover from attempting batik a few summers ago. The appliques on the front are from favorite television shows. You can buy fabric sheets for your printer that are treated so the ink becomes color fast, I was trying to be thrifty and so I soaked muslin in Bubble Jet Set, when it dried I ironed it to freezer wrap and cut into into sheets of a proper width to use in my printer. It was kind of frustrating. I've done it before without a problem, but this time the printer kept jamming, the color would come out funny--I don't think it was really that economical considering how many sheets I messed up. They each have another set of pajamas, as well as an extra t-shirt and I think I'm going to have to use another method to decorate the shirts. The nice thing about these sets is they look like clothing so if Miranda and Ivy want to wear them out anywhere there's no problem. Not that I care if they wear their pajamas in public but there are other family members who object.
I've ordered blanks from Dharma Trading Company a few times, and with the children's clothes, I'd advise going a size up. I bought shorts in a size 5/6 for Ivy and was a little concerned the waist would be too big since the size chart said 20 inches but they fit her just fine and she has a teeny waist, more like a size 4 but she needs the larger size for length.
