The embroidery isn't the disaster, it turned out great and Ivy loves it. The disaster is the fact that the bodice is too tight--a problem I've never had before, usually I'm so worried about making something too small I make it huge. Ivy has some clothing that she's been able to wear for 3 years. I'm not sure what I did wrong on this--maybe traced the wrong size? It was from one of my Japanese books and sometimes all those lines make my eyes feel wonky. So now I don't know what to do with it. Because of the way I had the embroidery follow the line of the bodice I can't turn it into an embroidered patch on something else. I'm sure there's a way to fix it but for right now I'm so frustrated and annoyed that I've put it away in a cupboard, I need to not look at it for a few days. Or weeks.
Oh that is a disaster. If you just add on a side patch under the arm, and one at the tops of the shoulders you should be able to salvage it though, right?
