I'm not. I like cats, but I'm not a Cat Lady. I'm a person who has cats for pets. I started fostering because I knew the shelter needed help, but there are days where I'm really just tired of these little beasts and their smelly boxes of poop. But they are cute. I
said I wouldn't take a mother cat with kittens because I thought it would be difficult to keep them confined to one room, and fostering an adult cat might be difficult for both our cats and the foster cat--even though keeping them separate, it seemed they would be more likely to sense each other through the door. I said all that several times and more, and then we got down to the APL and asked about fosters and Alysson said well, I have several moms who need homes. Both girls started jumping up and down, I weakly said I wasn't sure about having enough litter boxes and Alysson immediately went and found an extra one to send home with us. So here we are, with six more cats...
This is Millie and her kittens.
Miranda and Ivy named the kittens, but this batch all looks the same to me, I can't tell them apart. I know there is Lord Fuzzybutt, Puff-Puff, Feather, Coal and Ponyo (I named that one, in keeping with the Miyazaki theme we had with the other batch), but I don't know who is who (except for Ponyo). These guys are just starting to wean so I think they are around four weeks.
Ponyo is the cat looking upside down at the camera. He was born missing one eye, there's just an empty socket. He doesn't appear to be completly blind, or have any other problems. It was a little strange at first to look at, but I've gotten used to it
I'm sure they are a lot of work but boy are they cute and I bet the girls love having them around:)
